Job Summary

An Agriculture/Landscape Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the implementation and maintenance of agricultural and landscape projects. This role combines engineering principles with horticultural and agricultural knowledge to create aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor spaces while also considering environmental sustainability and resource management. This position requires a strong understanding of plant science, irrigation systems, soil management, construction practices, and design principles.

Responsibilities
    Responsibilities 1 Develop landscape designs, including layout, planting plans, irrigation systems, and hardscape features (e.g., walkways, patios, retaining walls) in alignment with the organization vision. 2 Prepare detailed agricultural drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for projects. 3 Conduct site analysis, including soil testing, topographic surveys, and microclimate assessments. 4 Research and select appropriate plant species, considering climate, soil conditions, and aesthetic requirements. 5 Design and implement irrigation systems, ensuring efficient water usage and plant health. 6 Create sustainable landscape designs, incorporating water conservation techniques and environmentally friendly materials. 7 Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to integrate landscape design with building plans. 8 Oversee the construction and installation of landscape projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and timelines. 9 Manage project budgets and resources effectively. 10 Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. 11 Monitor agricultural operations and oversee technical teams to ensure the highest levels of efficiency and quality. 12 Ensure the area meets health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation. 13 Develop and implement landscape maintenance plans, including fertilization, pruning pest control, and irrigation scheduling. 14 Supervise landscape maintenance crews and provide technical guidance. 15 Monitor plant health and diagnose and treat plant diseases and pests. 16 Manage irrigation systems and ensure efficient water usage. 17 Evaluate the performance of landscape projects and make recommendations for Improvements. 18 Provide expert advice to senior management and clients on landscape design, plant selection, and maintenance practices. 19 Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. 20 Prepare reports and presentations on project progress and findings. 21 Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in landscape architecture horticulture, and engineering. 22 Conduct research on new landscaping materials and techniques. 23 Participate in professional development activities. 24 Perform other related duties as assigned.
